Liverpool Reject Barcelona’s Approach for Luis Díaz – Star Winger Not for Sale

Liverpool have firmly rejected an approach from Barcelona for Colombian winger Luis Díaz, making it clear that he is not for sale.

Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, had expressed interest in signing Díaz, who is also attracting attention from the Saudi Pro League.

Despite two years remaining on his current contract, no progress has been made on a potential extension.

Liverpool officials informed Deco that they have no plans to sell the 28-year-old, who remains a key part of manager Arne Slot’s strategy for the upcoming season .

Díaz has acknowledged ongoing discussions regarding a potential transfer away from Liverpool, though he expressed happiness at the club and openness to staying.


He noted that his representatives are exploring options amid the upcoming transfer window.

Barcelona showed renewed interest, with Deco contacting Liverpool after a previous approach was rejected.

Meanwhile, Saudi club Al-Nassr is reportedly willing to offer up to €85 million (£71.6 million) for Díaz.

Liverpool, however, are not actively seeking to sell and have no current plans to negotiate a contract renewal .

Barcelona continues to assess their options for strengthening the squad, with Marcus Rashford seen as a potentially more affordable alternative .
