Man Utd make improved £60m bid for striker

Manchester United have submitted an improved bid of over £60 million for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.

The new offer comes after their initial bid, reported to be around £55 million including add-ons, was turned down by the London club.

Mbeumo, who had an impressive campaign with Brentford, is believed to be open to the move and has already agreed personal terms with United.

The 25-year-old has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, but United have moved quickly to try and secure his signature.

Brentford are holding out for a fee close to £62.5 million, using recent forward transfers as a benchmark. However, there is growing optimism that the two clubs will reach an agreement soon, with United eager to finalise the deal before their pre-season training begins in early July.

The Cameroon international is seen as a key target by United’s manager, who wants to reshape the team’s front line for the coming season.

If the deal goes through, Mbeumo could play a major role in United’s attack, offering pace, creativity, and goal-scoring ability.
