Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 137th international goal as Portugal came from behind to defeat Germany 2–1 in the UEFA Nations League semi-final, securing their place in the final.

The match, held at Munich’s Allianz Arena, saw Germany take the lead early in the second half through Florian Wirtz, who headed in a cross from Joshua Kimmich.  Portugal responded with a stunning 25-yard strike from substitute Francisco Conceição, leveling the score.  Shortly after, Nuno Mendes delivered a low cross that Ronaldo converted from close range, marking his 137th goal for Portugal and his first-ever goal against Germany.

This victory marks Portugal’s first win over Germany since 2000 and propels them into their second Nations League final.  They will face the winner of the Spain vs. France semi-final in the final on Sunday.

Ronaldo, at 40 years old, continues to make significant contributions to his national team, extending his record as the all-time leading scorer in men’s international football.
