Fulham Deepen Spurs Crisis as Tudor’s Nightmare Start Continues

Tottenham Hotspur’s miserable 2026 shows no sign of easing after Fulham secured a deserved victory at Craven Cottage, extending Spurs’ winless Premier League run to 10 matches and deepening their relegation worries.

Marco Silva’s side struck early and controlled long spells of the contest, while new Tottenham boss Igor Tudor was left frustrated by both defensive lapses and a controversial opening goal.

Early Blow Sets the Tone
Fulham wasted no time asserting themselves. In the seventh minute, Harry Wilson volleyed home from close range to give the hosts the lead — his ninth goal of the season.

The build-up sparked controversy. Raul Jimenez appeared to nudge Radu Dragusin during the aerial challenge that preceded the cross from Kenny Tete, but after a VAR review led by Craig Pawson, the goal was allowed to stand, much to Tudor’s visible anger on the touchline.

Spurs felt hard done by, especially after having a similar goal ruled out in their heavy defeat to Arsenal last week.

Iwobi’s Quality Doubles the Advantage
Tottenham’s defensive problems were exposed again in the 34th minute. Alex Iwobi was afforded far too much space on the edge of the box and punished the visitors with a superb low strike that clipped the inside of the post on its way in.
Fulham could have been out of sight before the break:
Calvin Bassey fired over from close range
Raul Jimenez missed a presentable chance
Emile Smith Rowe also failed to convert
Despite the missed opportunities, Fulham went into halftime firmly in control.

Richarlison Sparks Late Hope
Tudor turned to his bench in search of a response, and substitute Richarlison briefly gave Spurs hope in the 66th minute, powering home a header from Archie Gray’s left-wing delivery.

The goal set up a tense finale, but Tottenham lacked the cutting edge to complete the comeback. Tom Cairney nearly sealed the win late on for Fulham but shot narrowly wide with his first touch after coming on.

Fulham held their nerve to secure all three points.
Fulham Eye European Return
For Marco Silva’s men, this was another significant step forward.
Key positives for Fulham:
Second league double over Spurs in club history
Eighth home win in 14 matches
Up to ninth place, level on points with eighth
With European qualification potentially extending down the table this season, Fulham are firmly in the conversation — something not seen at Craven Cottage since the 2012-13 campaign.
Their strong home form could prove decisive in the final stretch.
Tottenham’s Painful Reality Under Tudor
The honeymoon period for Igor Tudor has quickly evaporated.
Since replacing Thomas Frank, Spurs have:
Lost both league matches
Conceded six goals
Extended their winless run to 10 games
Tottenham now sit 16th, just four points above the relegation zone with 10 matches remaining — their worst run since the infamous 1994 streak under Ossie Ardiles.
What This Means (Big Picture)
For Fulham:
European football is now a realistic target
Silva’s tactical structure continues to impress
Home form remains their biggest weapon
For Tottenham:
Defensive fragility is a major concern
Confidence looks extremely low
Relegation battle is now a genuine threat
