Manchester City delivered a commanding performance on Saturday, April 4, 2026, dismantling rivals Liverpool 4-0 in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-final at the Etihad Stadium.

The Norwegian was eventually substituted to a standing ovation in the 77th minute, having been a constant menace with his movement, positioning, and finishing instinct. Despite not needing many touches, his efficiency in front of goal was once again on full display.
This victory marks another impressive chapter in City’s strong home record against top opposition this season.
The Blues have now beaten Liverpool convincingly at the Etihad earlier in the campaign, and this FA Cup triumph adds to their dominance in the fixture of late.
For Liverpool, the afternoon was one to forget. Despite their competitive spirit in previous meetings this term, they struggled to create clear opportunities against a well-organized City defence and midfield.
The Reds will need to regroup quickly as they continue their push on multiple fronts.
