Manchester United Reach Agreement To Appoint Michael Carrick As Permanent Manager

  • by

Manchester United have reportedly reached a broad agreement to appoint Michael Carrick as the club’s permanent manager after his impressive turnaround at Old Trafford.

Carrick took charge earlier this year following the departure of Ruben Amorim and has quickly restored belief around the club.

Under his leadership, United climbed back into the Champions League places while producing major wins against Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

Reports suggest the deal will be a two-year contract with the option of an additional year, with final discussions now focused on the details of Carrick’s backroom staff.

The club hierarchy, including Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox, reportedly believe Carrick is the right man to lead the next phase of Manchester United’s rebuild. Players are also said to be fully behind him after a dramatic improvement in performances and dressing-room morale.

For many supporters, Carrick’s rise feels like a return to Manchester United’s identity — trusting a former player who understands the pressure, history, and expectations of Old Trafford.

An official announcement could arrive before United’s final home game of the season.
