Chelsea have agreed a £60 million deal to sign Brazilian forward João Pedro from Brighton.
The 23-year-old will sign a seven-year contract and is set to join the Blues for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
Pedro, who scored 30 goals in 70 appearances for Brighton, becomes Chelsea’s latest signing from the Seagulls after the likes of Caicedo and Cucurella.
He’s expected to bring flair and versatility to Enzo Maresca’s squad as Chelsea prepare for a major push next season.
A medical is scheduled ahead of his potential debut against Palmeiras in the Club World Cup quarter-finals.
