West Ham reject £50m Kudus bid from Tottenham

West Ham United have turned down a formal £50 million bid from Tottenham Hotspur for Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus, with sources confirming the Hammers are holding out for a fee closer to £65 million.

Tottenham’s offer, which reportedly included an additional £5 million in performance-related add-ons, falls short of West Ham’s valuation of the 24-year-old star.

Kudus, who joined West Ham from Ajax last summer, has quickly become one of their key attacking threats with his dribbling ability, work rate, and goal contributions.

The midfielder’s impressive performances have also drawn attention from other Premier League sides, including Chelsea and Newcastle United. Chelsea had an earlier player-plus-cash offer rejected, further underlining West Ham’s strong stance on not letting Kudus leave on the cheap.

Kudus currently has a release clause of around £85 million in his contract, although West Ham may be willing to negotiate a deal below that figure—just not as low as Spurs’ initial bid.

Tottenham, under new manager Thomas Frank, are actively looking to bolster their squad and see Kudus as a key target who can add creativity and versatility to their midfield and forward line. However, they may need to return with an improved offer if they hope to secure his signature.
