Ola Aina Signs New Three-Year Deal with Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have officially confirmed that defender Ola Aina has signed a fresh three-year contract, keeping him at the City Ground until 2028.

The 27-year-old Nigeria international initially joined Forest in July 2023 on a short-term deal after leaving Italian side Torino.

After a strong season and helping Forest retain their Premier League status, the club triggered an automatic one-year extension in May 2024.

Now, Forest have moved to secure his long-term future with a new deal.

Speaking after the signing, Aina said:

“I’m over the moon. It’s always felt like home ever since I joined and I’m happy to continue the journey.

Now my focus is on preparing well for the new season and getting back to hard work.”

Aina played a key role in Forest’s impressive 2024–25 campaign, where they finished seventh in the Premier League and qualified for European football for the first time since 1995–96. His versatility and defensive consistency were standout features throughout the season.

The new contract highlights Forest’s ambition under manager Nuno Espírito Santo, who also recently signed a contract extension.

Aina’s deal follows renewed commitments from other key players including Chris Wood and Murillo, as the club builds a solid foundation ahead of their Conference League campaign.
