Tottenham Confirm £55m Signing of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United in a deal worth £55 million.

The 24-year-old joins Spurs on a six-year contract, becoming the latest addition to Thomas Frank’s rebuilding project at the North London club.

Kudus made a strong impression during his debut season at West Ham after arriving from Ajax, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists in the Premier League.

Despite a dip in form last season, largely due to changes in management and system, his talent and versatility remained clear.

Spurs, who endured a difficult campaign and finished 17th last season, have been active in the transfer market to turn their fortunes around. Kudus becomes their third major signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich and Japanese defender Kota Takai.

The club is also reported to be close to landing Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest, having activated his £60 million release clause.

With Kudus in the midfield, Tottenham hope to add much-needed creativity and drive as they aim for a fresh start in the upcoming season.
