Arsenal Trio Among Six Nominees for PFA Player of the Year

Arsenal’s title-winning season has been recognised with three Gunners making the six-man shortlist for the 2026 PFA Men’s Players’ Player of the Year award. Midfielder Declan Rice, defender Gabriel Magalhães and goalkeeper David Raya have all been nominated after playing key roles in Arsenal’s Premier League triumph.

The trio face strong competition from Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki and Bruno Fernandes, who complete the prestigious shortlist voted for by fellow professional players.

Rice was instrumental in Arsenal’s title charge, dominating midfield battles and contributing crucial goals and assists throughout the campaign. Gabriel anchored one of the league’s strongest defences while remaining a major threat from set-pieces, and Raya’s outstanding performances between the posts helped Arsenal record an impressive number of clean sheets on their way to lifting the trophy.

For Arsenal supporters, having half of the shortlist filled by Gunners is further proof of the team’s remarkable progress under Mikel Arteta. The nominations highlight not only individual brilliance but also the collective strength that finally delivered the Premier League crown to North London.
