Arsenal Confirm Leandro Trossard Transfer to Besiktas in £15.3m Deal

Belgian international Leandro Trossard has completed a permanent move from Arsenal to Turkish giants Besiktas in a deal worth an initial £15.3 million, bringing an end to his successful spell in North London.

Reports indicate the total value of the transfer could rise with performance-related add-ons.

The 31-year-old has signed a three-year contract, with an option for a further year, as Besiktas continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Super Lig campaign.

Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 and quickly became one of Mikel Arteta’s most reliable attacking players.

During his time at the Emirates, he made 174 appearances, scoring 36 goals and providing numerous crucial assists.

He also played a key role in Arsenal’s Premier League title-winning campaign, contributing important goals from both the starting XI and the bench.

For Arsenal, the transfer represents an opportunity to reshape the squad while recouping a significant fee for a player entering the final stages of his contract.

The Gunners are now expected to reinvest in attacking reinforcements before the transfer window closes.

Besiktas, meanwhile, have secured an experienced forward capable of playing across the front line.

His Premier League experience, versatility and eye for goal are expected to make him one of the club’s marquee signings this summer.
