John Stones Joins Inter Milan on Free Transfer
England defender John Stones has completed a free transfer to Inter Milan after bringing his successful 10-year spell at Manchester City to an end.
The 32-year-old has signed a two-year contract that will keep him at the Italian champions until June 2028.
Inter secured the experienced centre-back without paying a transfer fee after his City contract expired.
Stones leaves Manchester having won six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, three League Cups and the UEFA Champions League.
His ability to play in central defence, midfield or at right-back could make him an important addition to Inter’s squad.
Although injuries limited his appearances during his final season at City, Stones remains respected for his calmness on the ball, defensive intelligence and experience at the highest level.
The move gives Stones a fresh challenge in Serie A, while Inter gain a proven winner who can strengthen their defence and help the club compete for domestic and European trophies.
